For long, I wanted to paint something colorful. To put it in the words of my husband, a colorful painting is a happy painting, a painting which makes the onlookers beam with happiness. This image of colorful jars, with the sun shining from one side through the window, has always been in my mind. However, there is a huge difference between painting from an image and painting from the mind. But it is also very interesting as you get to toy with your imagination and change your perspectives as and when needed. After having a series of thoughts on it, I painted the final version of this image in mind and finally brought it out on my canvas with oil paints.

A colorful painting is indeed a happy painting.
